Die Rosa Lila Villa
Die Rosa Lila Villa wurde 1982 als Haus für Lesben und Schwule "instandbesetzt". Sie dient als Informationszentrum und offener Treffpunkt. Im Haus gibt es die Beratungsstellen "Lila Tip" für Lesben und Transfrauen, und "Rosa Tip" für Schwule und Transmänner. Ein Teil des Hauses wird auch für alternative Wohnformen genutzt. Verschiedene Gruppenaktivitäten finden hier statt, von Sportvereinstreffen bis zu juristischen Arbeitskreisen. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es das Lokal "Willendorf" mit Restaurant und Bar.
The "Rosa Lila Villa" ("Pink and Purple Villa") was occupied by gay and lesbian squatters in 1982 when LGBT rights were still not fully implemented in Austria. The squatters renovated the dilapidated building and began negotiations with the city council which finally granted a long term lease for a nominal amount. The building now houses information centers for LGBT people, namely ""Lila Tip" for lesbians and transgender women and "Rosa Tip" for gays and transgender men. Part of the building is being used for alternativ forms of residence. The house also serves as a meeting point for different groups, from sports clubs to legal task forces. There is also a restaurant and a bar.
